Obsidian will help with Wasteland 2 if Kickstarter reaches $2.1 million
Mar 30th 2012 9:59PM (Joystiq)I'm surprised this is the first reply to this newspost. Usually it seems to be the Obsidian fans that are most vocal and I imagine those are chipping in extra now to help not just Wasteland, but maybe more so to help Obsidian out of their bad spot.
I love Planescape:Torment more than most other games, but I guess there is a reason why people always mention that when Avellone comes up and not a game actually developed by Obsidian itself.

Mar 30th 2012 9:51PM (Joystiq)Seems not a lot of people even want to mention this project and spread the word. Even on sites that post a lot of kickstarter info and links. Would really like to know why.

Mar 13th 2012 10:22PM (Joystiq)If you actually looked at how it works you'd have seen that you're getting the game once it's done and depending on your pledge amount you get more goodies as well.
So in other words, it's a very early pre-order that helps fund a game you probably wouldn't even get otherwise and offers you a range of choice much alike different editions of a game release would.
Only difference is the risk involved in case the game never gets finished. If that is too much for you to handle, then just don't pledge I guess and spend that money on something very safe, like food you know you'll enjoy a 100%.

Mar 6th 2012 1:38PM (Joystiq)Was it already right after Bullfrog and it just took a while to really show? Did it happen when his name got too big for anyone to openly criticize him or any of his ideas? I used to like listening to him, but like someone already mentioned, he's become more of his parody than the actual parody itself. Shame.
Seems almost all of the big names either turned crazy, went to space or just vanished.
