The penguin: But it doesn't say how much faster. So if it can do 7:36 instead of 7:38, it's still slower. In any case, you would think a 650 hp "racing-spec" 722 SLR wouldn't post a ring time about the same as the GT-R. Which just goes to show that the GT-R is truly a super-bargain supercar.
If the 480 bhp model is the one that supposedly does 7:38, then the 530 bhp Evo-spec model may have a good chance of shaving 10 seconds off the lap time with its 50 extra bhp. The $191,700 997 GT2 will have 530 bhp, and as stated by someone else on here, the GT2 is very close with the GT in performance. So we will just have to wait and see.
