EVE Evolved: The new player experience

Oct 31st 2011 4:18AM (Massively)
@nilsmmoblog As a long time EVE player (about 5 years or so) I have to agree. The UI is what makes this game worse than it is.
I actually don't have a problem with how it works, like first targeting something and afterwards firing the weapons, but the UI itself feels just laggy. It still is bound to the network layer, which means when you open up a window such as the market, the whole UI is blocked for a couple of seconds, depending on the internet connection and load and that is a really poor design decision.
Also there is no window management whatsoever. You always find yourself opening up window after window which then tend to overlap and be anything other than "good to control".
Yea, I really hate the UI ever since.

In meinen Augen am Ziel vorbei, da für mich das eigentliche Problem bei 3D Filmen darin besteht, nicht durch die Brillen sehen zu wollen weil sie A. nicht angenehm ist und B. das Bild doch spürbar verdunkelt.

Penny Arcade Adventures discontinued, 'there won't be an episode 3'

Bought both episodes because there was a Linux version available and loved both!
Which concerns me the most, is that we hopefully remain playing the two episodes, even after a few month, which is not absolutely clear as they used DRM in the games.

w/o Windows Home Server, this would be an interesting peace of hardware.

Hopefully they will also offer an update tool for Mac and Linux users!
I'm not willing to pay another 130 EUR for a Windows license, just to be able to deploy the new ROM on my phone. Especially since my Linux box, on which I regularly work on, does offer native filesystem support of the Hero.
