I'll break it down. The problem isn't actually with the $180 pricetag on the 120GB, it's that the trade-in value for a 20GB is ...get this... $30. Meaning, to upgrade it could cost at least as much as $150, as opposed to non-early adopters paying $80...and they get HDMI.
If the trade-in value was closer to $80, it'd be basically fine.

P.S. I don't put stuff up on ebay.

The numbers above players' heads is their call sign. It was covered it the 1Up article. It's because it's easier to yell at a call sign then a logo of a skull or some long gamertag.
