Joyswag: Win a trip for two to PAX, courtesy of HotHead Games and DeathSpank
Jul 20th 2010 2:51PM (Joystiq)I would take time out to go to PAX Prime.
Oh Yes. Yes, I would.
if I win a code though, I might just give it away on the site, as I have already purchased this game.
anyone else find it hard to block? I can only very randomly block properly, and as a result I have spent a ridiculous amount on potions.

Cataclysm tanking cooldown feedback wanted

I think this is a fantastic idea, giving a few classes the ability to buff other classes by erasing their CD's would bring a whole new aspect to the idea of a "buff" class.
maybe this would be an idea for a new class altogether, one that focuses on purely buffing other classes and cc- like a (i hate to say this) bard of sorts...
it would be really useful and there definitely has to be a way to make sure that the removal of cd's or debuffs like sated/exhausted didn't become crazy OP...
Drama Mamas: Suicide threats
Mar 19th 2010 11:34AM (WoW)I cannot upvote this enough. One of my best friends committed suicide about three years ago, we played WoW together, and I wish I would have been able to talk to him before the time he took his own life, but the fact that he might have reached out to someone on the game is a distinct possibility. If there is one thing we all know about this game is that it is as much a social interface as a game, and regardless of the forum, a threat of suicide is serious. Since we all play the same game, we should be prepared for the uglier eventualities that can (and will) crop up in any social situation.
Bravo, Drama Mamas, for tackling a subject that we all should be aware of.
Breafast Topic: Do you use all available buffs when pugging?
Mar 18th 2010 9:46AM (WoW)I understand that he might not ever have played a shaman, but the reason you want me is because I DO drop the right totems, I BL on the bosses that need it (so they die faster, hence less repair bill for the tanky..) and that when I need that dps boost and the ability to not die (unless I stand in a fire or pull aggro for some reason) I can use feral spirit to make sure the healer can focus on keeping the others (including the tank) alive.
Back to the topic, though, if I have to drop my totems every pull (and sometimes several times a pull, depending on how hairy it gets) would it kill you guys to buff? I will happily take a ghetto buff, since those are cost-effective, but I think that it's more a matter of respect for your party mates- if you've agreed before the tank starts pulling that it's basically a faceroll, buffs might not be necessary, but at least discuss. Most people won't argue with a little boost, either way.
