Im no techie but wouldn't that open the console up for hackers, viruses and other type of exploits. That's just another headache that's better left avoided. MS knows what they're doing.
I can make the same argument about the 360. You are forgeting about the Western RPGs, which by the way are getting quite popular and the 360 has lots of them. Combine that with the fact that JRPGs are on the rise on 360 and I can just as easily say that the 360 is the RPG machine..
So to conclude, the 360 is the all around machine.

Mine works just fine without any el cheapo plug in fans directed at it? You're either very unlucky and have a faulty console or probably just have the Sony-fan-bot syndrome.. Those are very common around here. ;)
