WHAT THE HECK DID YOU EXPECT!!! An economical suicide?? Because that's about what region freeness is! Time to wake up! Do you REALLY think Nintendo does these things just to bully its customers??? Are you really that stupid?

Let me clear this up for you: Japan + USA is not the entire world you know. Importing games from Japan to US does not quite define the concept of importing games! There are OTHER places in the world such as EU. The "EU whatever reasons" are not whatever but they are what the European Union is all abou: marketing areas. EU is it's own marketing area and Norht America is its on. There can not be any mixing because it messes up the whole thing. If people start importing games from US to EU (although there is the customs house) what do you think the sales numbers inside EU will start to look alike? Any guesses??
The world of today is about BUSINESS and business only. Get it already! Nintendo is out for business. Maybe Sony can give games out region free but heck that's plain stupid and the only reason they can do it is because their a big company and I'm sure 3rd party developers aren't pleased about this.
Why don't you realise that E3 is for the US and this conference was for the E-U-R-O-P-E-A-N press. You think just because something is annonunced in the States in a massive conference and videoclips of it circle in the WWW is going to give the reporters in Europe any information whatsoever of the console??!?!?
Nintendo made a wise choise setting up this event in Europe. It's like they said "hey, we know we told the US about this, but this time we don't forget Europe, we love Europe". Nintendo is showing some love! I'm a European and I am disgusted and despising - not towards the big N but towards your ignorant comments.
