The Indie Stone is burgled, loses code for latest Project Zomboid update
Oct 16th 2011 8:38PM (Joystiq)And of course that was meant for Undulation not Unverified.

Oct 16th 2011 8:38PM (Joystiq)You're clearly clueless.
I guess you was also behind people complaining to Paypal and Google which caused all the payment issues because there was no product? Did you also support pirating the game because you felt ripped off or entitled to try it before paying despite the costs it imposed on the developer?
Basically it's people like you that are the problem. Your feeling that paying any amount of money entitles you to be outraged for any reason you see fit. Again, short of delays in development (like major studios don't do this too) what else have these guys done to betray the trust of anyone who paid them money?

Oct 16th 2011 8:31PM (Joystiq)I think the problem was drink, shock of the situation and probably a healthy dose of remembering the abuse received in the past. To me that spells out letting your customers know ASAP to show them you're being open.
Problem is, people are horrible pricks and most expect to be spoon fed any information in some emotionless PR speak. The tragedy here is that yet another developer is going to withdraw from communicating with their playerbase.

Oct 16th 2011 8:25PM (Joystiq)End of the day you paid $8 to support the development of a game. If you're too dense to tell the difference between that and buying a finished game you may want to spend more time in retail stores. Despite these tragically comic problems they've had I've seen nothing worse than it taking longer to get a finished game. Again, if your gaming happiness relies on a single game worth $8 you've got more problems than these guys ever had.
TLDR stop being paranoid, stupid, entitled and just plain obnoxious.
Portal 2 getting user-created content 'on all platforms,' has two endings
Jan 25th 2011 5:54PM (Joystiq)They can and do make silly mistakes in their games, however their games are generally exceedingly good despite this.
Where they are very much good is in leading innovation in game distribution, support and attitude towards us gamers. Even when they screwed up on that CoD VAC ban stuff they owned up and made good. Compare that to Activision's BS about PS3 cheating being jailbreak related (total FUD) or their terrible support for BLOPS on PS3 and PC.
I say. Go Valve GO! :)
Amnesia dev now stable following 'tremendous' sales
Jan 7th 2011 11:57PM (Joystiq)Maybe that's the secret. You know, not spending millions making a shit game and then blame piracy or something other than poor judgement for it failing to sell and you firing a ton of developers.
Introversion credits Steam for company's salvation
Aug 25th 2010 2:46PM (Joystiq)What are you on? You admit the article has nothing to do with piracy but still advocate it's use because people lost their jobs and "piracy makes people lose their jobs".
If anything this shows how piracy is largely BS in regards to a game's success or failure. In this case the PC (*gasp* most pirated platform eva!) gamers not only made Introversion successful once but also a second time, while the largely unpirateable console platform (where all the moneys at) pretty much ruined them.

Yes, the iPhone 4 is broken / No, the iPhone 4 is not broken
Jul 13th 2010 7:31PM (Engadget)However in this case the placement of the antenna is where people generally hold the phone. Hence it being a design flaw and nothing to be explained away as these articles seem to be doing.

"We don't live in hilly areas or drive at great speeds so faulty brakes aren't much of an issue. Hell all cars need their brakes replacing at some point or after driving through big puddles and ice, on ice brakes are terrible for all cars!! Why make a big deal out of the issue with these brakes on this car?"
