Wii not even remotely region-free

I am pissed off at this fact...things have gone from bad to worse for nintendo, like stated above they seem to be back to themselves again. *sigh*

I was just thinking with all the shaking rattling and rolling Wii(sorry couldnt be avoided) are going to be doing with the controller I cant help but wonder how long a wiimote will last. As much as i don't like the price of the controller scheme they've got going, a guarantee from nintendo that the controlers would come with a life time warranty if you were to purchase the Wii, and any other additional controlers, on release day, would not only shut me up but having frothing at the mouth to get one on November 19th. And even though i'd pay alot for all four of the controllers, at least i would have them in a sense forever and not have to worry about shelling out 60 bucks everytime the motion senosry failed on me.

Whoops, really wish they'd let us edit these things. It seems upon looking back at one of the other older joystiq articles i stumbled upon the announcement that it does indeed come with the nunchuck attachment. This however is pecurliy odd as i could have sworn that several people were complaining that nintendo was only shipping the remote portion of the control, and thus forcing others to by the latter nunchuck half later...oh well, that good news regardless. Glad i wont have to shell out 20 bucks for the attachment when i want to play metroid prime or zelda. *breathes sigh of relief*

Wii will be sold as an affordable, mass-consumer product at an MSRP of just $249.99. The price includes one wireless Wii Remote controller, one Nunchuk™ controller and the groundbreaking collection of five different Wii Sports games on one disc, which anyone can play using simple movements, experienced or not.

Taken from nintedo.com's sight the following is a description of what comes with the wii on release. According to this it says the nunchuck controller is coming with the launch package. So whats up? I'm confused is this an error on their part or on the blogging communities. I only ask because i checked around and didn't see it mentioned in any of the other blogging sites?
Heres the link to the article for those interested.

Sandra Lee's awfully stupid list of reasons not to buy a PSP

Sep 11th 2006 3:42AM (Joystiq Playstation)
I just want to say that I am a big NDS player and having said that even I can see an unfair/biased shot taken at the PSP. So I read this lady's "list" and find that I can't get 2 reasons down on the list with out wanting to smash her face in. Half the things she complains about can be applied, TO ANY FREAKING PORTABLE SYSTEM!!!! Is this lady from some alternate reality or something where PORTABLE game systems are big enough to be able to play regular games yet still be PORTABLE??? A trained monkey can see that the psp has one of the biggest, brightest, most beautiful screens for a handgeld system out on the market to date, and perhaps even in future endevours to. Not even DS fans like me can argue against that. And although at the time, the expenisve mem sticks did turn me off to the PSP, I aknowledge the fact that all systems have peripheries that cost extra money and making that an issue for buying a game system is not nearly as important as she thinks it is, or wants it to be. I just hope this lady doesnt go on to applaude the DS as I believe her associating her name with a system I like is a slap in the face to handheld gamers everywhere. >:(
