If sony's PS3 is so kick butt, they wouldn't need FMVs to begin with. And in my opinion that's the ONLY thing that takes up huge amounts of space. Don't believe me? Alot of people here has prolly done the "Oh no I scratched my FF7 disc one so I'll use disc three" trick. Play FF7 up to a point where there's no FMV coming up. And just swap the disc out. THe entire game is on each of the disc. It's just the FMVs that take up alot of space and forces that to be the case.
Now that we've gotten that out of the way. To the people arguing "I'm fine with disc swapping, bigger media doesn't really help." It actually does help and hurt. More space does mean more waste. But then again the people that will make good use of that kinda stuff, will make good use of it. It'd be nice to be able to fit 4 complete(DVD 4.7 sized) games on one disc. Is it gonna happen? Prolly not, but it's a nice thought. I'll also suggest that they should really tripple the amounts of video RAM these systems have.
And yeah... You'll also never need more than 512K of RAM for the record. And I keep a record of how much RAM you'll actually need.
"Alright you fuckers." - Your argument went right out of the window. I couldn't stop laughing after reading that cause I knew what the rest of the post was gonna be about.
DocGonzo - For the record, the entire time I was working at Gamestop I had to constantly explain the rating system regardless of the fact that we had huge signs saying what it was AND a videotape looping with the information on it. Parents MUST be educated. Granted lots of parents don't care. THe rules are made for people who do care. If the parents don't care to begin with, that kid has much bigger problems than a video game being too violent.
GTgamer... how interesting is it to watch someone sit there with a controller in their hand? I mean I guess you can just watch someone's thumbs go up and down.
And isn't playing a video game just one big game of make believe with a different set of rules?
To the people who blame America for this... please read the article... It's even quoted above.
"We recognize that the subject matter of one specific image may have caused concern in some countries not directly affected by the advertising. As a result, we have now withdrawn the campaign,"
It says "Countries" meaning more than one. Even if America is a majority. There's no reason to place all of the blame on them.
Oh BTW "Black" people aren't only in america people. :)
I swear to you all that was going to be my thesis/ senior project in school. My question for that is. Does the monkey actually have fun doing it? Or is all the fun from getting praised from doing a good job?
