Mobile Super Meat Boy may look something like this, may not

I love the faces everywhere. I wonder if the hill laughs at you when you die, because that would be kinda epic.

LittleBigPlanet Karting arriving in 2012 from ModNation Racers devs

Mar 22nd 2012 10:32AM (Joystiq)
this looks amazing, actually... felt bad that LBP was going to compete against ModNation, but kinda happy now. Just hope they all learned from the mistakes in MN and really make this as cool as it looks...

Bastion sheet music now available for $0.00 through Supergiant

Mar 17th 2012 5:11AM (Joystiq)
I don't care how much I watch/listen to this. One of the greatest musical soundtracks ever. It's plain genius... there's not much else to be said beyond that. There is so much emotional impact gamewise when you finally realize exactly what the song means... when something clicks in you and you "get" the story behind bastion. That alone is a crowning achievement in video games today, besides some arbitrary achievement/trophy/what have you. It's a defining moment when game and art come together and you realize you actually care about some fictional world....you want to know, you want to go beyond what is given to you and just live in that world

Winter has yet to arrive in the Game of Thrones RPG, apparently

Mar 15th 2012 12:03AM (Joystiq)
Actually looks pretty decent. Really hope it turns out good though... Would love a AAA title come out of that series. Although I think I'd rather see characters I know from the books then whoever those dudes are. Probably won't matter too much though, as they'll probably die by the end of the game anyway.

Joyswag & Unboxing: Alan Wake PC Collector's Edition

Mar 13th 2012 5:59PM (Joystiq)
I didn't have a 360, just a PS3. There was only a handful of games I wanted on the 360, including Alan Wake, but couldn't justify spending the money on another system when I was working a low paying job and had too many bills to pay.

Team Meat looking to Sony platforms for Binding of Isaac

Feb 29th 2012 11:09PM (Joystiq)
A lot of the religious stuff is really toned down. It's more back story and more of a reference then anything else (even though lot of items, all the characters except for one are based on religious characters). It's not a constant "in your face" thing though, at least to me.

Sure, there is poop (they kind of act like jars and can drop items if shot enough). There is a couple items that make you pee, lot of blood, a boss entirely made of guts, you can sacrafice life for items from satan (SPOILER: who is the final boss), lots and lots of dead babies/fetuses, you kill your mother, her heart, and your unborn sibling all while inside her womb. It all is more humorous then it is anything else though. As everything is really seen through the eyes of a pretty abused child who wants nothing more then to escape from the clutches of his psychotic mother.

Team Meat looking to Sony platforms for Binding of Isaac

Feb 29th 2012 10:59PM (Joystiq)
@Godmars
Early in SMB's production, they approached Sony about releasing it on PSN but wasn't entirely interested in it. So they headed to MS who said ok, but you can't release it on Sony's systems. So they signed the contract, MS kind of laughed in their faces and it turned into a massive ordeal for Team Meat. Sad thing is it was mainly Sony didn't really have enough to go on and didn't want to help produce it and lost out entirely. Since then they've kinda said they're never publishing on XBL again.

Battleship movie adapted into FPS by Double Helix

@Kamizar
Your forgetting the re-release of the board game tie-in from the game tie-in from the movie of the board game. Which oddly enough, plays like Risk.

Battleship movie adapted into FPS by Double Helix

I'm waiting for The Settlers of Catan: The Movie, about a bad drug raid operation in Cuba, that is somehow a litghthearted buddy cop movie. Then for the tie-in game that resembles Kayne & Lynch, but w/ a more family friendly atmosphere.

The Rhythm Of The Quest in Fallout 3 and New Vegas

Feb 2nd 2012 9:18PM (Joystiq)
I agree whole heartily with this... the pacing and quests were so much better in F3 as opposed to NV. All the quests in F3 seemed to have their own character and personality, were in NV there were so many of them and all of them felt the same. I couldn't bring myself care about what I was doing or who I was talking to... But I did like dead money, it was a very refreshing take on the gameplay and really felt thought out (while yes, it still had it's issues...)
