That sounds impressive because that's the way they want it to sound. When you say that it's up 91% to $407 million out of a total pie of $9.73 billion combined Blu-Ray and DVD sales, it doesn't sound quite as good. It's easy to have impressive growth when you have such a small percentage to begin with. Right now that 91% gain puts them right around 4% of the total market which is actually down around 13% from last year. I'm all for HDTV but somethings got to give before Blu-Ray gets a big chunk of the market. Heck, I'm still waiting on some old TV series to finally come out on DVD.
