Nintendo Wii marketing to exceed $200 million
Nov 13th 2006 6:08AM (Joystiq)The key to the Wii is interaction, that's why it's special. They need to use that money and setup a way for non-gamer people to play with it, not just see videos.
That's where the un-tapped money is, where they should concentrate. Look what the 'Touch Generation' games have done for DS.
My MOTHER bought a DS (without me even showing it to her) and owns a huge collection of those games... and she bought them for herself. She plays it everyday and it blows my mind. I don't how, but Nintendo may pull it off.
Nintendo's new Zelda most certainly doesn't fall flat

Cheers, the absolute DRAMA of the video game industry.
Nintendo's new Zelda falls flat
Nov 12th 2006 12:22AM (Joystiq)Zelda is a modded GameCube game? I didn't know that! You mean it's
not graphically comparable to a next-gen title? I suppose they should
have delayed it for two more years and update the graphics. Get lost.
I hope this is a joke.

Nov 9th 2006 1:29AM (Joystiq)Tells me more about the product and is more entertaining than those totally random PS3 commercials...
*PS3 commercial*
Paste random product over PS3, nothing has changed. It's still just as stupid.

Oct 21st 2006 12:49PM (Joystiq)Remember those old PC games where you could actually run the game off the CD? This is like that. First we start off running the game off a disk, then we get the option to install it to a hard drive for faster load times. Next step: Install the entire game to the hard drive and offcially label it 'PC'.
Soon they'll be adding disk keys and 300MB patches that you have to download day 1.

Oct 17th 2006 3:43PM (Joystiq)Yeah, I don't get it. If I PAY full price for a game I shouldn't have to have ads and a potential security risk. They don't even have to maintain the game servers, most of them are run of consumers PCs.
The terrible thing is that I KNOW someone will create a patch or figure out a way to get rid of them, but EA will just keep patching over it or prevent somehow.
Sadly, I think people are going to buy this anyways and me boycotting it won't have much of an effect.
