What killed the Kin?

@SPENone uh, where the hell did you get 50 from? It was 500.

Microsoft Kin is dead

I personally have to call bs on this. I mean come on, the kin gets discontinued but the Zune never did? That's pretty bs. And also, it hasn't been around long enough for them to determine whether it was a failure or not. 2 months is nothing in the market, you can't release a new product and expect it to become as successful as the iPod overnight.

I mean come on guys. Doesn't this sound like complete bull**** to you? 2 months in the market, and all of the sudden they decide to discontinue it? Yet they never gave up on the Zune..

The Kin isn't a bad phone. The problem is everybody seems to think it's a smartphone, when it's not. But I can see why, with data plans costing just as much as a smartphone, it kinda gives the impression it is.

I say, they release these are prepaid phones. Virgin has a real b**chin prepaid plan where you get unlimted text, email, web, and 200 minutes for $25. I don't see why Verizon can't pull something like that off.

@MoonWalkerCTE Really? I thought it was a bit pricey for an athlon II, integrated graphics and 640GB. Mind you, you're not getting a display with it. (I think)

@Wesscoast well, maybe for you. But not for me. I'm already a Zune Pass subscriber. I think they've done a decent job at creating one so late. It's very nicely integrated with their devices.

Bing is okay. I don't use it much. The few times I have, I've gotten crap results compared to Google. But with this....I don't know...it's just calling me to the dark side.

Then again I don't JUST use a search engine for music..

@jgpuff yeah same here. I just have trouble trusting it. The few times I've tried to give it a chance, it gave me crap results compared to Google.

This is actually pretty sweet..

I can just search a song and play it then and there. No going through links and such.

If the service is nothing like Steam, they blew it.
