I have a hard time understanding why the score is 3.5/5 instead of a 4/5. It reads like a mostly positive review to me. Can we delve a little deeper into the negatives? Given that this is a launch title, I guess I'm more interested in how well this is pulling off the 3D effect instead of how well the game plays.
I have SF pre-ordered, but I've read in reviews that it doesn't really utilize the 3D effect that well. I'm excited that SF is going to be a lot of fun and that it is coming as a highly recommended game - but I also need a game that reinforces the 3D effect that the system is supposed to be known for. I was hoping Steel Diver would be that game, but I don't think this review really answered that question for me.
Honestly, this is a horrible idea right now. This isn't something I would buy at launch.
....Hoooooowever! The second somebody gets custom firmware working on this device, that's the time when I'm going to plop some money down on it. I'll just make back-ups of the UMD games I already have (totally legal) and install them on the PSP-Go. And then this will become a sensible purchase.
No dice until that happens, though. And I imagine it's going to be at least a month or two at the earliest.
