It's unfortunate that the point of this article totally flew over the heads of the first few commenters. I've noticed that as Joystiq's traffic grows more of these types of comments have shown up. I guess that's a negative side effect of Joystiq's popularity.
Lollerskates. This is clearly games related. Stop being wimps and enjoy it for what it is: a fantastic riff on a text-based adventure game that has an impactful message.
PS: Stop deluding yourselves. The majority of the country is now clearly AGAINST the poor Bush decision to go to war in Iraq. It doesn't matter if you're on the left or the right, increasing numbers of people on both sides of the political spectrum believe that we have screwed up big by getting involved there.
What are you guys, like 6 years old? It's clear to me the author understands the SDLC. Only people who work in QA are so touchy about the mere suggestion that the QA team is at fault for bugs that are introduced to customers. That's not even the point of the bugs paragraph, so get over it.
C'mon guys, you're Joystiq readers. You're supposed to be able to figure this stuff out without the author spelling it out for you. This is where the smart gamers hang out, right?
Some of yous guys are reading WAYYYYY too literally. The point is a good one: if kids watch mature-rated movies or play mature-rated games in the presence of adults who can help them navigate the difficult themes, they're more likely to develop a healthy understanding of said themes.
