Seriously not trolling...and maybe I'll get downrated into oblivion; but when I PUG something its because I just want to get it done. If I want conversation, I'll chat with guildmates. I'm a few hundred Valor points away from a chestpiece...then its like taking out the garbage or loading up the dishwasher, no conversation needed. Lets just get it done so we can all move on to something else.
I'll be the worgen frost DK in your PUG who does his job...battle rezzes if necessary...and says "Nice run. Take care." at the end of the effort. PUGs to me are just a way to get things done.
Oh sure, by all means keep making encounters "interesting" to tank. And continue to watch more players find tanking not fun, and not worth the time. I am willing to go out on a limb and state the author has a supportive friend base who has allowed him to learn and enjoy wiping on fights that most everyone else has zero patience for. Tanks setting foot in raid finder sans support base are and have to be a hardy sort. Do they really need interesting fights? Or just a scenario where they can do their job and everyone gets loot? Keep interesting fights for guilds working on hard modes.
I didn't hate on the games or the system or Nintendo. Feel free to reread the final line of my post.
Lastly I hate sports games, so don't attempt to label me. I've played GoldenEye, Mario Kart and Super Mario 64 and they didn't hook me like past Nintendo titles did.
And if my gamer cred has taken a hit cause I didn't care for Kirby vs. Samus, then boo hoo.
This spelled the beginning of my ending relationship with Nintendo. I never owned an N64 and no game released for the system makes me want to own one to this day.
Nintendo called themselves blazing a trail in the face of companies moving to CD format for more storage. A lot of third party developers, once loyal to Nintendo ran like rats from a sinking ship. The N64 had its merits...but it was here that Nintendo got stymied with a "kiddy" image.
IMO, the N64 ranks up with the Virtual Boy. A brave step in a different direction...but in a direction a lot of gamers were not willing to go.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that with the Revolution, Nintendo can gain back some its ground that it once held in the days of the SNES.
Racism off the mark? Labeling Chinese people in general as gold farmers isn't racist? The creator of the photo isn't even targeting Chinese gamers...he/she states clearly that ALL Chinese people are gold farmers. Thats stereotyping and thats racism.
As much as I love World of Warcraft, by far it does indeed give the cowardly racist the room to get away with nonsense because they have a virtual name & face. I guarantee these same individuals would never have the gall to say their ignorant thoughts to anyone in real life. But thats been my experience with online gaming as a whole; whether the arena be XBox Live, or any number of online PC games.
The sad fact is that it won't stop.
Online gaming gives a nice safe place from which to fling insults without the fear of being retaliated against. Homophobes and racists have found a new way to express & share their hate.
There's been NO denial on Blizzard's part. Check that post again amigo. In fact, Blizzard has done nothing to step forward and respond directly to the article. But they have hired a new forum moderator whose sole job is to lurk in the background and lock posts. Specifically posts regarding this subject. I think its a leak of an idea Blizzard thought about implementing. I highly doubt this is the final decision for the new Alliance race. If so, well I can count the new Draenei players on one hand. However, the Horde will be swelling with the millions of rerolls for Blood Elves.
