@Leejin As your a Best Buy employee, I thought I might ask what HD portable camcorder is best. Please and thank you. :-)
I purchased the JVC GC-FM1 (Flipshot competitor) and regret the decision a little. Its able to take photos and reasonable quality video, however I'm looking for something a little bit better. The gist of my question and reason I ask is that i would like a better camera for a good price. My wife and I are having our first child and would like something to capture the experience :-p Labor, hospital stay, first baby glimpses, etc. If anyone has any advice to give I would be most appreciative. Thanks.
Provided it has a 1366x768 screen, HDMI and decent battery life I'm sold.
I have the Aspire Revo 3600 with ION 1 and couldn't be happier. Still need a portable though. I played with the iPad today at Best Buy and was impressed. I'm hating myself now :-/ lol. I will pick up a new netbook or a tablet (hoping I don't buy an iPad in the process of waiting).
@jmcburna Competition is great indeed. I only hope that tablets are here to stay and expand the way we consume content AND be productive. HP's slate and iPad seem to have counter design philosophy and fall short in one way or another.
My greviences for the two "other" tablets: iPad- there is no excuse for lack of expandable storage, HDMI and multitasking. HP Slate- battery life is poor and it lacks wifi.
Granted these are my annoyances, it would seem as though the Gemini would like us to forget about slates and pads. Bring on android market place and Amazon kindle and ill have zero reason to look back.
I'm of the same opinion. I saw the specs and couldn't stop shaking my head...
The 5 hour quoted battery life and lack of WiFi is inexcusable. How does HP believe it can compete? Who is the audience? It makes little sense to me how a product rumored to be in development for so long can fail so hard. I would be excited with the listed specs if they were from a year and a half ago.
I would buy an iPad instantly provided it had SD card support, HDMI out and multitasking. ICDs tablet and Courier are my two great hopes.
Android on a tablet seems like second nature and would in effect mimic the phone OS on a tablet that the iPad uses. If Android Market is robust and incorporates apps for tablets, the ICD Gemini WILL find an audience. Most importantly is a consumer friendly price. I would buy one for $600.
Remember that article on Nvidias mystery tablet? Surprise!
Until the monthly data plan drops to a reasonable rate with unlimited data, I'll never touch a subsidized netbook 3/4 G device.
The demand isn't there. The more ubiquitous WiFi becomes the more outrageous the price becomes. Wireless companies should have an all you can eat data plan for phone and netbook....or even provide a package deal for a small upcharge.
In considering the name one could assume that more than one version of Windows Phone exists.
Wasn't there a rumor of two versions? One with 3rd party overlays (Business edition) and the other more controlled (Media edition). It only makes sense to me. Why alienate everyone that uses Windows Mobile? Also, what harm is there in creating a more casual, iPhone wanna be?
I think people are jumping to conclusions and being too negative in general...:-/

ICD's Tegra 2-powered Gemini is the most feature-complete tablet we've seen yet
Apr 6th 2010 5:43AM (Engadget)It could be vaporware but then again we could all get lucky and it come out soonish.
My question- is ICD a design company? If so, who would buy the prototype and manufacture it?
Everyone remember the Nvidia mystery tablet? I believe this is said tablet.
