I've been playing it again with the missus this week after picking her up a copy in the Steam Summer Sale. Neither of us will be renewing our subscription.
@hereafter I have to agree. It's the nature of the Internet though (and far from being just TOR) - there's a lot of cynical gamers out there, particularly MMO players. As for the rest? Well, if we can't express ignorant, uneducated opinions without hearing any facts on the Internet, then where CAN we express those opinions?
Anyway, the maps look great. But they're still just maps. I don't care a whole lot about maps in general, and next week will be a Fan Friday so that's a bit of a write-off. Good job there are other sources of information on TOR.
Couple of things still annoy me about the bounty hunter. I don't think the name Powertech will ever sit right with me and I don't like the fact that the Mercenary is forced to dual-wield pistols - looks fine on the Smuggler, but with the heavy armour of the BH it just kind of looks off to me.
Those are just niggles though, I'm really starting to like the aesthetics overall and I'm impressed with how far they've come. This just isn't a class that interests me much.
@ThePenIsMightier There are six armor sets in the video, not five. There are already many more than that in the game, and I imagine there'll be even more for launch. It's quite clearly an open world game with a lot of group content - that's been shown time and time again.
I'm not saying TOR will be any good, I'm just saying that you're mistaken on all counts.
All of the classes are hybrid classes in a hard trinity game, with the exception of the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior. All six of the other classes can heal, tank or DPS.
So I'm not too sure why the poor Consular got singled out as having the potential to be underpowered when it's in the same boat as three quarters of the classes in the entire game. Poor Consular!
