I'm sure people have mentioned this in the threads already, but it infuriates me when the people who decry FF13 as being 'too linear' are the same ones that *loved* FF10, which was linear as balls. You start on an island in the south, and head north. That's it. I was reminded of FF10 several times during my play-through of 13, but that was the biggest reason.
Honestly, I play them. Always feels nice to destroy a *whole army by myself* after a long day at work. And besides all the ridiculous over-the-top mythology involved, the Dynasty Warriors series taught me more about Chinese History than a whole semester of classes did.
