Impressions of Halo 3: ODST campaign -- Life in a sandbox

Well, at least this time the extra item is functional (the controller) and looks pretty good. Definitely better than the Halo 3 special controllers.

Microsoft confirms 256MB internal storage in Xbox 360 Arcade units

Well, the difference being, Sony and Nintendo allow you to use any compatible external memory (Wii = SD Card, PS3 = Memory Stick, USB, etc.).

MS forces you to buy their over-priced proprietary Memory (either the HDD or MU).

Infectious, Isolation's Floody secret

Not to sound like a total nerd, but I believe per the Halo novels, that the suits have a system that, though very heavy, allows them to float. I forget what it was supposed to be though, it was a couple months back on a plane ride that I was reading it.

If I remember correctly though, there was someone struggling to get their armor off as they were sinking because that aspect of the suit was malfunctioning. I could be totally wrong though.

Halo Trilogy theme on XBLM

Oct 30th 2006 10:58AM (Joystiq Xbox)
I really like the Rockstar Studio Table Tennis theme. It's simple (simply a "swoosh" of blue/green/yellow, like that of what is featured on the game box, for all blades), cheaper (only 100 points as compared to the 150 of most themes) and everything is still very readable. Not for everyone I know, but definitely worth look if you like simple/colorful themes.

Xbox 360 releases for the week of September 11th

Sep 10th 2006 5:34PM (Joystiq Xbox)
From what I've played of the two demos I really think '07 is the better NEXT GEN game. The shooting mechanism, while somewhat difficult to adjust to, is much more realistic and you really feel like you're controlling the action. 2k7 is a fine game, but the scoring is just a one-timer fest that feels like the same old thing we've seen for years. There's no real innovation.
