Firefox 4 Friday: 25 million downloads, anti-aliasing, and how to make it look like Firefox 3
Mar 25th 2011 1:17PM (Download Squad)Did I miss something though? I thought the orange button was (thankfully) moved inline with the other tabs? I used a custom chrome setup in the early betas, then removed it when it finally went inline, and my FF bar is still inline.
Now, in all the official screens, it looks like it's back on it's own row again. What did I miss?
Kindle update brings real page numbers, public notes, and new magazine layout
Feb 8th 2011 12:29PM (Download Squad)It takes a couple of months just for that? Really? I bought my first book for Kindle on the iPad yesterday, and my very first annoyance was the lack of page numbers. Yeah, I'll live. But the good news that somebody at Amazon woke up about this is tapered by the fact it's going to take them an ice age to do anything about it.
I hope, but doubt, that this will correct the issue with the "page" not staying the same length. I changed font size out of curiosity and was very annoyed when changing the size back resulted in a page of a different length. Same deal with clicking a footnote and clicking back - suddenly the footnote was at the top of the page.

Your guide to Firefox 4 and its shiny new features
Nov 11th 2010 2:32PM (Download Squad)My thoughts exactly. Chrome's javascript performance tempts me, but as a professional web developer I can not do without Firefox as my main browser. Firebug for Firefox still blows the doors off of Chrome's version and their built in inspection tools, in my opinion. Not to mention all the other little extensions that tweak the experience to exactly what I need.
If Chrome had the same extension support that Firefox does, I'd consider switching. But as is, Firefox is the browser for me and that's not changing.
Professional-grade Lightworks Open Source video editor to be released November 29th
Nov 11th 2010 2:16PM (Download Squad)Thanks for posting this - this is the first I've heard, but I'm definitely going to be trying this out. Our company does a lot of video editing and this looks like it trumps some of our current go-to software.
For me personally, I've been wanting a good, free video editor in Windows.
