It's impossible for any one person to intimately know the science of every facet of something as complex as an iPhone. You have to do your best to find the right people and then you have to hand them responsibilities and trust that they will get the job done. If this guy is in charge of the antenna, then he has proven himself incompetent and needs to be let go.
