The shim probably reduces pedal travel, meaning that the ECU needs to know what the new max is in order to detect when you've got the pedal to the floor...
Forza 3 actually supports a clutch and H pattern shifter if you have the Fantec wheel. The Fanatec wheel also works on the PS3 and PC too, if that helps... ;)
The Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S are wonderful tires. They perform wonderfully on dry pavement, have surprising amounts of grip on wet pavement, and offer just enough traction on packed snow to make it up/down moderate hills in the Seattle area.
Until they solve the charging problem, pure EVs will be limited to use as city cars. Who cares if the range of your pure EV is 200 miles when you have to turn around and go home after 100? The brilliance of this particular vehicle is that it'll run on batteries for 95% of the trips people typically take, yet can fall back to using gas the few times a year a longer trip is required.
If you're colorblind, don't bother picking this one up.
In the board game, there are symbols in addition to colors on both the board segments and cards. Annoyingly, in the XBLA version, there are no symbols, making 1/3 of the colors indistinguishable from other colors.

There are definately 360's out there with defective drives that will scratch disks. No movement required, just play a game long enough and it'll happen...
My 2nd refurb unit would scratch discs like crazy. I'd be in the middle of playing a game and suddently the dvd drive would make a horrible noise; after the noise stopped, BLAM, dirty disc error. Pull the disc out and sure enough, it's been scratched to hell and back...
