That should read, "only in major cities". And the wifi triangulation is worthless outside of major cities as well. It always shows me at least 10 miles the wrong way.

I'm pretty sure I'd use it to watch strictly educational material such as TED speeches, scientific research papers, and...porn.

1000 HD Choices? That's good because right now they don't have any. I've downloaded videos that have less compression artifacts than any of Comcast's HD channels. I'd switch to satellite in a second if I could get OTA channels where I live. Don't even get me started on Comcast's customer service.

The main problem I've found with the fancy iPhone style launchers is they're disappointing. You feel like you're using something well designed...then you launch something and BAM you're back to the badly thought out WM6 programs.

Now all we have to do is make WM6 not freeze, change between apps quickly and easily, not require us to manage memory manually, and make smooth screen transitions.

My main hope for the iPhone is that it forces more developers to think of mobile users when they design their sites (or forces Opera to bust out the real hotness with a native WM app not a slow java app). And I hope it forces Microsoft to do more than just a minor upgrade to Windows Mobile for the first time in a decade.

Does anyone feel like we might have been getting screwed? "Oh, competition? let me just flip this switch here!" Why weren't we getting these speeds already? It seems a little convenient that Verizon waited to do this right with the iPhone launch. And AT&T didn't upgrade EDGE until Apple forced them to.
