I am sure they have thoroughly tested and vetted the content internally. They don't want to spoil the game by releasing it all as a beta, and rightfully so.

It is fairly obvious from previous betas with Blizz (saw/played D2 beta and was in Starcraft beta) that they are not tryiing to test game story/level content. These public-ish betas are to test server load, ui and stability. The D2 beta had about the same amount of content in it, and the Starcraft 2 beta was multiplayer-only.

If you read the original source article, the 'approaching half a billion dollars' statement was made while taking into account the costs for the acquisition of Bioware/Pandemic.

I find it highly spurious that this expense should be included in the development cost of SWTOR, since Bioware itself is far more valuable than a single game, even this one.

Heh, had free points from bing rewards, bought one, should be kind of cool/mildly unique if they really let us keep them past Jan. 1.

I'm pretty sure its a permanent, steam-activated license. I've already installed it on my home pc. I logged in from a machine without steam out of curiosity and when I go to the portal page it says 'You already own Portal' with a 'play now' and 'install steam' link, just like it does on my other retail games.

Yes, if you own sonic & knuckles along with the other games you can do the sonic 1 special levels, sonic 2 & knuckles & sonic 3 & Knuckles.

my main has been on 9 days, 18 hours, 56 minutes, 58 seconds ^-^

So at least 3x that across all my toons.
