Epic and Adobe announce Unreal Engine 3 support for Flash 11
Oct 4th 2011 3:46PM (Joystiq)Apparently I am daft, my apologies for insulting your mother...wait...no...why are you so butt hurt again? I truly haven't kept up with HTML5.
My point is in the context this was meant to be in (this replied into the air for some reason): HTML5 can do many things, but today it cannot dream to produce anything of higher quality consistently across computers with 3D as Flash 11 can/will be able to with ease. Adding in UE3 makes it no contest.
Sure there will be your HD Farmvilles and such, but it also means real and deep experiences can be possible without making the computer chug or compromising multitasking. HTML5 and the Flash 10.3 and below depend most on your CPU rather than your GPU, unlike Flash 11+. Meaning there's only so much an HTML5 page can have going on before it interferes with other things running on your computer. Flash 11 with or without UE3, by moving the graphical processing to the GPU, allows you to do other things with a great high quality game running in the background waiting for you and not interfering with your computers processing speed.
Can...your...precious...HTML5...do...that?
