Peter Moore tells Joystiq about the new warranty program
Jul 5th 2007 7:00PM (Joystiq)Many policies have kicked in and repairs have been made on them by now. Will Microsoft settle with these warranty companies?
If a customer purchased a 2 year warranty at launch: Are they covered till 2010 or do they end up losing out and only have MS coverage till 2008?
How many customers bought an extended warranty for their Xbox 360 but, would not have if there had not been so much RRoD uncertainty?
What will happen to customers and warranty companies that sent of Xbox 360s to 3rd party companies for repair?
Fanswag: Fanboys Fight for The Darkness
Jun 25th 2007 9:14PM (Joystiq Xbox)So we all for free, desire to be,
Jackie Escatado.
A man sold out much like Tony was,
by his Uncle Corrado.
'The Darkness': Xbox or PS3?
It's not like choosing between Meadow and Melfi.
For multiplatform games have always
bowed to Xboxian superiority.
360 Fanboys were asked, "For why?",
and many did regurgitate and cry,
"It's because, because, because, because
Of all the wonderful things,
Our dear console does."
They post these things so often,
To remind us of Xbox features,
We have never forgotten.
They will continue to mention,
The other console,
Is priced like college tuition.
Some will ask as PS3 owner's grumble,
"Will the painful Playstation price tumble,
Before the SixAxis begins to rumble?"
Oh, let us not mention,
This dream may never come to fruition.
Sony should have settled with Immersion,
It would have helped their Darkness version.
Like so many others I wonder,
As drowsiness turns to slumber:
"Would the world be a better place
sans Howard Stringer's
contemptuous and condescending face?
And why would one wish to drink up,
From that of crazy Ken's,
last offered cup?"
Oh, indeed, indeed I do agree
With all of the,
cogent arguments made.
'The Darkness', on PS3?
I'd rather drink Jim Jones' Kool-Aid.
Despite their despair, opposing fanbots will declare
and so scornfully say,
"Rumble, Xbox Live, and Achievements are gay."
What our we do with such an opposition,
whom like Scientologists and Madonna-like Kabbalists,
have money to waste on an ignorant position?
Shall Xenu and Kratos we hail,
As talking points our get old?
No, fellow fanboys we will win without fail.
Have no fear, not all has been told,
The trump card, I do hold!
Today, against their shouts of '360 gay',
I must say, what has yet to be said:
Only on Xbox, can 'The Darkness' demo,
raise the dead!
With the demo running I put a controller,
in my dearly departed grandmother's hand,
It rattled and rumbled but something was
unplanned,
Across the room the controller flew causing me
to duck.
Next thing I knew granny was screaming, “WTF!”
"You danglin' dribble of dung, you freakin' schmuck!"
"I was dead and happy and now I'm old and cold!"
Slowly her anger passed but her beneficiaries were aghast.
There some did say and as well others still may,
"Nope, That didn’t happen"
Oh, but not says the Pope,
In a statement issued by the Vatican.
If just the Xbox 'Darkness' demo did this,
Surely, a retail copy cures gonorrhea and syphilis.
So for mine and my once dead Grandma's sake,
send me 'The Darkness' and please be quick,
for it's quite a pain to take,
the Xbox 360 power brick,
to a wake.

Sep 13th 2006 5:28PM (Joystiq)"True HD is too too cheap", he feigned with furvor and fury.
Ken pictured victory cleary in hand
and how he would rule "Gamer Land."
What once oh so clear, is now quite the oh so blurry.
