Oh, you are fucking kidding me. Another shitty "in the universe" X-Com game like Interceptor or... the other one? Featuring a guy who's not even IN the X-Com organization!?
If this were an April Fool's joke, I wouldn't have believed it.
How strange; I had a device just like this for the original Gameboy. Though that one had pretty awesome fold-out speakers to boot, and it just claimed to make the screen larger, not add depth. Then and now, it reminds me tremendously of the film Brazil.
Note that this is also the guy who boycotted UPS when they, in turn, boycotted Fox News. I'm also nonplussed by how they act all high and mighty and anti-DRM, and yet they're allowing Ubisoft's new "connection required" crap on Impulse games.
I still hope Elemental is awesome, as I loved Master of Magic, but it'll take more than a love for modding to make me a fan of a Fox News supporter who caves on his stated values the second a major game publisher waves a giant check.
Actually, they're dates that just stand around in Smile Burger (the equivalent of Burger King) for no apparent reason, thanks to a baffling, subpar localization.
(Still a damn fun game, but it really stings when the cuts are so readily apparent.)
Didn't really add anything!? It's like 5-6 hours of gameplay in Yakuza 2, covering several genres - there's the "be a host" minigame, the "date the hostesses" minigame, and my favorite, the "own a hostess bar" minigame. I mean sure, it wasn't necessary to the main plot, but that's a bullshit excuse: 90% of these games isn't necessary to the main plot. They're intended to be a snapshot of a certain lifestyle and culture and atmosphere, and removing part of that for being too Japanese is not only incredibly stupid in its own right, it makes me wonder how the rest of the localization was done.
I shudder at the thought of an overly-anglicized translation trying to "clean up" what's essentially a story about beating the shit out of people in a red light district.
Oh c'mon, this isn't hard to figure out, especially after their little experiment with selling Fable 2 in episodic junks. They're going to split the game into pieces and sell it piecemeal, turning it into one giant mass of DLC.
