Internal Bethesda 'Skyrim Game Jam' sizzle reel features dragon mounts, giant mudcrabs

I'd love all of these extras as DLC - could make the 2nd playthrough even better than the first =)

...wish I had this on PC for the Creation Kit

I love how at about 7:34 the player runs into multiple enemies in the faux-open-3D space, and decides to turn back so that they follow him onto a more linear plane. I can only imagine the pain in turning and aiming there...

Actually, watching that video (for 7 minutes and 34 seconds longer than I should have, really) makes me feel both admiration and sorrow for the programmers in creating something far better than should've existed on that platform, but even then they still ended up with something quite garishly horrible.

@willooi

Thanks for the kind words guys, appreciate the feedback. Mujokan especially, that's brilliant =) There also seems to be a common theme amongst the comments: co-op games and no excessive violence or gore. Sounds like a fair trade.

I did manage to get her slightly hooked on Civilization 3 where it was me providing her with advice, and her deciding where to build things, which countries to pillage, etc. Good wholesome fun. Got LittleBigPlanet ready and waiting too.

She also plays the mobile phone version of The Sims...time to get her into the PC version, methinks, and we can do embarassing stuff like put ourselves in the game and decide what furniture to purchase, when to tie the knot, etc. Oh God...

Ashitaka, I do have a blog! It's my name and a dotcom on the end of it, if you're interested in checking it out in the future.

When I grow up, I'm going to Bovine University.

Haha. It's already all lined up, it will happen, and I'm very happy about it. Maybe all these future open worlds will just need to be shared =)

When I was still at Uni I disappeared from classes for two straight weeks to play San Andreas. My friends thought I'd died. Ended up passing the course so WIN-WIN.

Then later on when I started working full time, I spent my two weeks annual leave to play Fallout 3. The logic at was why use that time AND spend more money for a holiday, when for the price of the game alone I had a roughly similar experience? =p

Would've done the same for New Vegas when it came out, but had already spent leave on a holiday. A 'real' one. Just had to settle instead for 4 hours of sleep before work, and then POWER WEEKENDS.

And if being antisocial in real life was bad, I also turn into a complete online-friend-snob. Turn on the console, sign in, start the game - no new patches? - rip out the ethernet cable so as to not be interrupted mid-game, an unwanted reminder that the virtual world is not quite as real as I've been wandering it. I'd like to think that my online friends understand, but maybe when I ignore their follow up phone calls it's maybe going a bit far.

Cue impending massive change in lifestyle. Moving in with my other half in a couple of weeks, coinciding with the release of Skyrim (plus a massive backlog - work is busy). She doesn't play games, or even like them especially much. How will the powergame be possible? I'll find out soon...

Dead Rising 2: OTR launch trailer documents the fall of a hero

@Gunballs

From the gameplay videos I've seen, even the bosses and cutscenes are the same - only with Frank replacing Chuck, and a voiceover to suit the existing dialogue. Poor effort, really.

I'm a huge fan of Dead Rising, but it'll take something really special for it to convince that this isn't simply a poor attempt at a cash-in

I love Dead Rising 1 and 2 but have 0 desire to buy the same game again unless they make it worth our while. and from what's been released so far: nope.

And, anyway, where was Infinity Mode?? How could they have taken that out of 2?

@Tezz

Great idea. I've been wishing for some more storyline DLC about Marston back when he hung around with Dutch and co, so if that never eventuates it'd be great if a film did it.

Also, with Rockstar at the helm I'd be very confident that they wouldn't ruin any of their own franchises unlike most of those game-movie travesties/UweBollGarbage out there.
