Supreme Court ruling states NFL teams are separate entities

May 24th 2010 7:08PM (Joystiq)
This has more potential to be bad then good. As if the ruling goes the wrong way in the lower courts, it could mean to make a NFL football game you have to pay each team what they feel there team is worth.

Then on top of that, you'd probably have to contract all the players separately as well. Instead of the oh this is great for sports video games, this could make it much more worse, or even increase the price if for a fully licensed video game with real teams, real players, etc.

Natal to use 10-15 percent of Xbox 360's computing resources

Jan 7th 2010 6:20PM (Joystiq)
generally, consoles operate similar to computers, in that they are more reliant on the GPU, which is the grahics processing unit for its games then it is the CPU. The fact that Natal uses 10 to 15% of the CPU will have relatively no effect on games as 360 games dont even use anywhere near 80% of the of the CPU.

If a 360 or PS3 for that matter used 100% of the CPU to run games the system wouldnt last longer then 2 months. As your personal computer which has much better cooling cant even run full load on a CPU for extended periods of time on a regular basis.

Umpires Admit Blowing Call in Twins Loss

Oct 10th 2009 8:13PM (Fanhouse MLB Blog)
The twins got here on a blown call in the tigers game when the ball hit the guys uniform. However, there was no minnesota outcry.

The twins did get a bad break, however they stranded players in scoring position in every inning. They had the bases loaded and could not score.

Was the call wrong? Certainly. However good teams overcome these mistakes.

Minnesota lost this game and they have no one to blame but themselves.
