Just like we said, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance developed by Platinum Games

Fair enough. I just don't see much point in discussing anything on the internet when the reaction is going to be one of overwhelming hostility toward me so I'd just as soon refrain from commenting on websites entirely if I expected tremendous phials of vitriol poured upon me. Just not worth the effort when that happens.

You follow both as well, do you? I've refrained from commenting over there because I don't want to bother defending the reasons it looks promising to me; over here I'm worried I'll get mobbed over because there are just as many reasons buzzing around in my head that it could end up terrible.

Yeah, it's going differently over there for sure.

I was starting to feel kinda bad for him, actually, but then the crowd started cheering uncontrollably and Kojima's face filled with good humor and it was all hilarious to me from thereon out.

As someone who did indeed read some of the spoilers (but refrained from reading the bulk) I can tell you that everything I read was completely awesome.

Also, regarding the subtitle.

It looks like they heard me loud and clear when I said "man, they should just call it Metal Gear Rising" but mistranslated my "man, Square Enix's current-gen naming schematic is so godawful".

Yeahhh, it definitely doesn't look like MGS4. I preferred 4's look and was greatly anticipating an improved-upon engine in Rising, ah well.

Well on the more positive side of things, at least they finally got around to contacting Quinton Flynn. The poor guy was pretty candid about how weird it seemed that he hadn't heard anything whatsoever, no returned calls, nothing. And that was like ten months ago.

Pretty stupid that they wouldn't even call him back. Seems things got patched up though; that's definitely Flynn.

That's the thing though -- I actually *liked* the stories from the other mainline MGS games, as well as the one in Peace Walker. Sure, they're kind of an acquired taste, but that's what I tend to tell all the Tales of fans when I explain their stories aren't for me. I respect that they work for some folks and that's swell.

This game being helmed by Platinum makes me worry a bit more that its story will remain on-par. Say it ain't so!
