@Softserve smaller developers are pretty much forced into going toward free to play due to Activision. MMOs can't compete with WoW and FPS games have a hard time competing with CoD. Even with a reduced price at $15, developers aren't having much success competing with a $60 game because no one wants to try it. The free to play model at least gives players the chance to try the game out before dismissing it.
I got this during a pay what you want sale off their site, and then I ended up obtaining it on steam only because it came in a pack of indie games during one of the steam sales. I spent maybe half an hour with this game, I just really didn't care for it. Crayon Physics Deluxe is much more fun.
