Apr 30th 2007 10:17PM (Engadget)The fact of the matter is, I live in a small space, so if I can essentially reduce 1+ feet from my TV, not to mention reduce the weight of the TV in the process (for future moves, etc) then it pays for itself. I have a 46" Aquos, do you know how deep that thing would be if it was a CTR? Do you realize that I would have to basically rearrange the small 1BR that I live in to facilitate such a beast? Aesthetics are worth something, just look at anything Apple :)

Mar 19th 2007 6:56PM (Engadget)And yes, from what I have seen, it is pretty common for there to be one big room and basically sectioned off areas that are divided with bamboo screens. If you cracked a knuckle... everyone in the place would hear it. Sketchy, at first, but if you find a good place then just enjoy the massage. I mean, is it worth paying double the price just so you can feel like its not sketchy?
PS3 hits Europe: "And by 'backwards compatible,' we mean Eragon"
Mar 14th 2007 9:08AM (Engadget)1) They should have just dropped PS2 support, period. While we have become accustomed to playing our old games on new systems since everything is on a CD now, I remember the days when NES did not fit into SNES so to remedy it you just swapped them out. Period. This would have reduced costs and not caused such a shit storm after they promise and then screw up the feature.
2) They should have charged for online gaming, people aren't annoyed by this. I spend 40 bucks a year for LIVE and you know what, its 40 bucks well spent. But now they are implementing a poor online service and most likely losing money on it as well.
My 2 cents.
