Flameseeker Chronicles Extra: Guild Wars 2 crafting explained

@djodars Crafting minigames would get real old, and real annoying, real fast. A simple quick interface makes me happy. :D

The Daily Grind: What MMO have you recently deleted from your hard drive?

Mar 2nd 2012 8:51AM (Massively)
TOR is on the chopping block, as soon as my time expires in April. Can't bring myself to delete it until then, even though I haven't played it for more than an hour or so since my Guardian hit 50 and completed her story back in mid-January.

Oddly enough, Guild Wars will probably retain its own partition on my system long after its sequel comes out, even with a full HoM acquired already.

Hyperspace Beacon: Finally 50

@trickfred Sorry, this was meant as a reply to the angry unverified person hating on GW2. Not sure how it got posted here. O.o

@angry unverified:

Harsh. For starters, I don't know for sure that GW2 will be anything, I haven't played it. (Notice I said it 'looked like' it would be more to my style) But I have played GW1 since 2005, and am willing to give their marketing the benefit of the doubt. Like I did for BioWare when I bought SWTOR, because I like both Star Wars and Mass Effect.

As it turns out, SWTOR would have made an awesome single player game, but I don't think features that don't interest me (raiding, pvp) will be enough to keep me, or others drawn in by the promises of awesome storytelling, paying for it for very long.

@ijoemomma I think you mean every current MMO. This is why I haven't played an MMO since Ultima Online in '99. I think it's just a matter of current MMOs simply not being for me, and me falling for the 'story' hype of SWTOR's marketing.

Hit 50, finished my Knight's story, and now I'm bored. None of the the other classes have really grabbed me (have tried 4 more, the other three, even at a cursory glance, don't look appealing), I have no desire whatsoever to raid or pvp, and there's nothing left for me to do. Funny how they put all that work into the solo aspects of the story progression, with nothing left for the solo player to do once they hit end game.

Hurry up, Guild Wars 2, you at least look like there'll always be something new going on.

12 Days of Joyswag: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Collector's Edition (or: free dragons)

I have forgotten to put the recycling out 2 weeks in a row because I was playing Skyrim. If I do it again, I've been told I'll have to build a new home for myself out of pizza boxes and soda bottles.
