To anyone *still* complaining about how you have to press A twice to read the signs:
Even if the graphics were on a Pixar level and you could see all of them from a distance, you *still* wouldn't be able to read the signs without pressing A twice. Why?
BECAUSE THEY ARE IN A DIFFERENT FUCKING LANGUAGE! *All* the in-game text in a Zelda game is in a different language. It's been that way for 15 years, ever since A Link to the Past.
So unless you want to translate every sign or anything else from Hylian to Japanese to English when you walk up to read it, stop complaining about how having to press A twice to read the signs is antiquated. It isn't. It's part of the astetic and game immersion. That A button is translating everything to English for you, so you don't have to keep going here -
Of course, anyone who's ever played a Zelda game knows that all the in-game text is in Hylian; which it's obvious Vlad dosen't and didn't, or he never would have made that stupid comment about how you have to read the signs with A to begin with, and now be trying to save face.
@82 and anyone else still complaining about how you have to press A twice to read the signs:
Even if the graphics were on a Pixar level and you could see all of them from a distance, you *still* wouldn't be able to read the signs without pressing A twice. Why?
BECAUSE THEY ARE IN A DIFFERENT F'UCKING LANGUAGE! *All* the in-game text in a Zelda game is in a different language. It's been that way for 15 years, ever since A Link to the Past.

Again, they're all in a different f'cking lauguage. Either Anchient Hylian or Modern Hylain. (I am *not* one of these people who can tell the difference. Yes, they're are people who can).
The sighnposts are all completely legible and readible - if you can read Hylian that is.
What's even sadder is horrible voice dialouge that makes your ears bleed. And I've heard enough bad VO dialouge - heck, just bad dialouge in gerneral - in video games to last me a lifetime.
I don't need to hear Link or anyone else in a Zelda game talk *ever* because I have a little thing called an i-m-a-g-i-n-a-t-i-o-n. No voice they could get for Link could ever match-up to what anyone - including me - would want.
But then again, I have no problem watching silent films or forgin films that have subtitles. Whereas most people in my generation get bent out of shape if they're forced to watch any movie made before 1975. :-p
Sorry, but the signpost complain IS stupid because ALL the text in Zelda games are witten in HYLIAN script. Meaning, NOT ENGLISH. So couldn't read them no matter what ANYWAY.
But of course Nintendo should just change something that's been a staple in the series (Hylian used for all the in-game text) since Orcarina of Time just to appease a bunch of Graphics Whore fanboys.
People who complain about this are the same people who whine about their being no voice dialouge in the game and they have to read all of the dialouge instead. Namely, lazy, unimaginative people who shouldn't be playing a Zelda game anyway.
I'm a "casual" gamer and I'm not all that favorable about this. Played alot when I was younger, pretty much stopped when I was in High School, started playing off and on again when I was in my last year of of college. I just *finally* bought a GameCube only last Nov. (And I don't own either a PS2 or a 360)
The Wii has me interested and I was seriously debating whether to get one at launch or not, which would have been a first ever for me. Now, not so much. I'll wait for Mario Galaxy and a price drop.
The only thing I really want to play is Twilight Princess, but I don't want it enough to pay $300 (system + game) for it. I'll wait the 3 weeks for the GC version.
Pushing the GC version of Zelda back to Dec. 11 to try and get people to buy and play the Wii version.
I'll be a painful 3 week wait, but I'm gunna do it. I love Zelda, but not enough to pay $300 (all together) to play a *ported* version of a game that was first built for GC. :(
As for the system, I'll wait for a price drop. They should at *least* have put an extra controller in it for that price. :(
Frankly - I'm more PO'd that the Gamecube version of Zelda got pushed back to December 11, just so Nintendo can try and force people like me, who want to play the GC version first, to by a Wii and play *that* version.
I was debating waiting until Super Mario Galaxy came out to by a Wii, since I knew I would have Zelda to keep me occupide till it came out, and would have one last great game to play on my GC, and probably wouldn't pay much attention to the new system if I got it at launch.
Now I *know* I will wait to buy one.
I love Zelda and can't wait to play it, but it looks like I will, because I'll be *damned* if I'm going to by a Wii just to play a version of the game that was *ported* for it and not made and built for it like Mario Galaxy was. :-
Careful with those ancient Zelda screenshots! You'll poke an eye out with images that sharp. [update 1]

Today's hottest game video: Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Trailer
Nov 3rd 2006 4:26AM (Joystiq)The trailer music was reused from the 2005 E3 trailer for the game - back from when it was supposed to come out in Nov. of 2005.
So the music for the trailer has been around for over a year now.
