Nice trailer. Too bad ME3 will only launch initially with EA's lousy Origin service, which is a deal-killer for me. Hopefully after they reap all the initial money, they'll release on Steam and I'll get to play the game...

Great article. Every time a new Apple device is released, I get so tired of the inevitable flood of blog posts and comments on the web excoriating Apple for the specs on their devices ("OMG, competing device X has suuuch better memory/ports/resolution/whatever!") and various charts unfavorably comparing the specs of Apple products to competing devices. I suspect it's simpler for people to grab on to easily available specs rather than get out of their chairs to actually try these devices, Apple or otherwise. But, as Erica rightly points out, to judge just by specs is to miss the point completely. A while back, I bought an Archos 7 on its specs alone, but it wasn't until I had it in my hands that I realized that the specs did not tell me that the touch screen was not very responsive, the interface was rudimentary, and the handling of different codecs was horrible. It's a fair device, but compared to the iPad (and even my iPhone), it's a toy.

I don't doubt that there are people out there who have used the iPad/iPhone and just don't like it. But I get the strong vibe that a lot of people who mewl and whine about Apple products either haven't used them or are simply people who define themselves by opposing Apple because it's popular.

Riiiight. Paying a massive $.99 for 50+ Halloween and winter-themed levels and adding another icon on your iDevice is being "left out to dry". Screw Rovio! How dare they! This is an outrage! I should have everything free! Down with government! etc., etc., blah blah blah

Does this mean Apple is finally, finally, FINALLY going to license the MagSafe connector so we can have 3rd party chargers? I'm still waiting for the MagSafe tip to use with my iGo.
