I'm pretty sure they didn't mean the music was cheesy guys, they're talking about the way it was implimented; as an overlay instead of natural integration. It's a valid point, the clip would have been more engrossing with a couple of sword clashes and what-not.
Yeah, it's a new tales game, one of two. I'm pretty sure it was previewed at IGN, but they said the DS "Tales of the tempest" was more innovative and fun looking (it looks AMAZING for a ds game)
I very much doubt it. This kind of thing is a great piece of juicy press to take the edge off the Lumines sting.
Also, let's not kid ourselves, there's no 'key' at all to add games, they would have had to upload it to their central distribution server, and then made it publically accessible, plus setup the money links to it. There's NO WAY that's all an 'accident'...
No one seems to be mentioning it, but I thought the reason they got rid of the non-flash storage was so the system would be more difficult to write code to (read "less hack-able")
This is a MAJOR issue for any console, and if they've found a susceptibility in the old usb system, it's no wonder that they've gotten rid of it.
As for the DVD function, Nintendo's other claim to fame is the fact that you can drop-kick their products with little consequence. Having 2 reading systems would make them MUCH more prone to failure, and perhaps they would rather keep their systems as child-safe as possible.
