Apple iPad first hands-on! (update: video!)
Jan 27th 2010 6:14PM (Engadget)I agree 100%. A device this sexy that can do so many things, so mediocrely (if it's not a word, it should be)... it's simply blowing my mind.

Jan 27th 2010 6:04PM (Engadget)Yes folks, it's here... finally... relatively low-res LCD screen technology. It will revolutionize the way your eyes water when you read books, and is sure to lead to fashionable eyeglass purchases later in life.

Jan 27th 2010 5:52PM (Engadget)Flash would cannibalize sales of existing Apple products and services. Multitasking would make the revolutionary hardware seem less than revolutionary.

Jan 27th 2010 5:45PM (Engadget)I had a Hulu hoop when I was like, 5 years old. C'mon peoples, get with the times.
Apple iPad first hands-on! (update: video!)
Jan 27th 2010 5:38PM (Engadget)This puppy has an 11.6", LED back-lit display and a "stunning" 1366x768 resolution, a 1.6Ghz Intel processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB HD, VGA and HDMI-out, a built-in camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, Altec Lansing speakers (plural), a full hardware keyboard, and Nvidia graphics that can run modern PC games.
Oh... it also has USB ports, so you can use a real game controller or a mouse (ya know, a must have for any FPS). It also runs a full desktop OS that supports multitasking and pretty much any other app you can think of. And best of all... it's also $499! For reals, check it out:

Jan 27th 2010 5:23PM (Engadget)No, you will not be considered a fanboy for buying this at $499, or even at $829. UNLESS... you already own an iphone 3GS, a Macbook, and an iMac. Two of my co-workers own all three of those devices (and one of them also has an AppleTV to boot) and both have said they are definately purchasing an iPad. That is very definition of fanboyism.
Again... your farts will still stink if you purchase one. Just putting that out there.

Jan 27th 2010 5:19PM (Engadget)Develop: Devs divided on Natal potential
Jan 15th 2010 12:10AM (Joystiq)For that matter, I'm not sure I would be trumpeting the sentiment of WEASELTRON'S (yes, their company logo is a weasel) Managing Director as proof that Natal has an uphill battle. This from a company whose creative genius brought us classics such as "Jelly Belly: Ballistic Beans" and "Squeeballs Party".
Just take a look at of the dev's websites and you'll see which is likely to even receive a Natal dev kit, and which aren't.
Project Natal to focus on custom-made 'experiences,' will tolerate conventional games too
Jan 10th 2010 6:53PM (Engadget)So like, if your child is medically classified as obese but also addicted to everyone's favorite sedentary pastime (besides facebook), simply choose the above version of the game over the traditional one, and BAM! See you on the fit side, kid...
