So..... we're going to have to use one of those social networking cites to log in? Well, I guess that's the new hip thing but I won't link my social media accounts to anything.
To some extent I agree. I do largely feel as if I have outgrown many of the old school menu-based combat systems. That being said, I think games are still proving it is possible to make a great turn-based combat system. Look at Radiant Historia. That game utilized menus and turns to direct combat and it was so much fun. I've never played Wizardry 8, but if the "positional tactics" you describe is the same kind of idea as what Radiant Historia did with the grids, then that sounds pretty good.
But I absolutely agree that no matter what they do some people aren't going to like it.
Look, I don't think the majority of people upset about the ending are upset because it was "bittersweet." I know I personally expected it and would have been surprised if it was anything else. What I also expected was that the ending would in fact differ fairly distinctly based on the choices you've made throughout the games and that we would get some kind of closure to the story. And that it would actually fit with the spirit of the game. That's not what a significant portion of us feel like we got.
That being said, I thought up until the last 10 minutes or so ME3 was one of the best games I have ever played.
@(Unverified) Well, technically speaking you can throw a case out for being stupid, it's just not called that. Lawsuits can be thrown out for being "frivolous" or for "for failure to state a claim for which relief can be granted." Summary judgement will decide cases where there is no "dispute of material fact" and based on those facts the law compels a judgement in favor of one party over the other without going into a full blown trial.
So theres more information than you probably needed or wanted.
I think that trailer had the intended effect, on me anyway. It got me pumped for the new game and ready to stab and /or shoot some husks and invading aliens in the face. Bring it on, Bioware!
@KaBob799 I highly recommend it. I've fallen out of love with JRPGs as of late but Radiant Historia was easily one of the best games I played last year, if not the best. Compelling story, likeable characters, fun combat. What more can you ask for?
@Electrium Well sure, but that can be said of Elder Scrolls, as well. Or at least Skyrim, as I never made it through Oblivion or any previous Elder Scrolls game. Outside of the main storyline the other quests are all entirely optional. Pretty standard in an open world RPG. Unless I misunderstand the point you are trying to make?
