Rock Band Blitz announced for PSN/XBLA, can access existing Rock Band DLC

So basically, it's a 25-song DLC pack with a useless controller mode tacked on.

Nice.

Mass Effect 3 director defends DLC, endings with 'common sense'

Mar 14th 2012 3:58PM (Joystiq)
Honestly, all this complaining really proves is that ME has been a very successful series that people feel very deeply about. People think this kind of response is somehow unprecedented, but you can go back to the 1800's and find stories of people begging Charles Dickens to not kill off so-and-so protagonist. Years later, people stopped making such complaints, understanding they're silly, and so will be the same with Mass Effect. We can critique the ending, but we can't demand an rewrite, that's just an absurd request to entertain.

I for one was satisfied by Mass Effect 3. I feel the trilogy has mostly ended with a sufficient degree of closure. Yes, they could've made the ending a bit more diverse if they adapted the Deus Ex 1 model rather than the Deus Ex Human Revolution model, and there are certainly questions left open (Why was the Normandy not in the battle? Where are they stranded? Is galactic civilization over as we know it with the mass relays gone? The Quarians, Turians, Asari, Krogan and Salarian fleets are stranded at Earth now!), but one thing not left open is Shepard's story, which is decidedly finalized. He fought the good fight, and died a good death. And that's the most we could reasonably request. Could the ending be better? Yes. But the story they wanted to tell has come to an end, and demanding a rewrite is...

Well, let me put it this way: I loved the ending of the cel-shaded Prince of Persia reboot. It was powerful, provocative, daring, and most importantly, different. But then a bunch of whiners got together and demanded DLC that made it into something horribly generic. And so you got what you wanted, and we are all worse off for it. Don't do it twice, please.

Mass Effect anime coming this fall, all about James Vega

Wasn't a fan of Vega. Just... a boring guy. Very plain in a world where a lot of crazy things happen.

Mass Effect 1 and 2, Modern Warfare 2 for PC cheap today on Amazon

The CD key provided by Amazon doesn't work with Steam, but it does work with Origin. I can only confirm this with Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe edition, however.

I might've considered Chemicals Between Us, but otherwise, post-grunge along with nu-metal killed rock. Damn them!
