Games shipping this week

Sep 21st 2006 6:13PM (Joystiq)
Okami is an amazing game, and anyone who doesn't support the game while it's at full price has no soul or love for video games. It's easily a contender for game of the year, and has more character and charm in the first three hours of the game than most games have put together (not to mention I read it's 40 hours long). I know I'm going to be criticized for saying it, but it may be better than "Zelda: Twilight Princess". I'm not hating on Zelda (In fact I really like the series and want to play the new one too), it's just that Okami is an original and new experice altogether. Sure every Zelda is different and offers lots of new features, but we've all played at least one before. Plus, due to there are way too many game sequels released today, I feel that if we want to encourage designers to be more creative we have to let them know by buying original games that deserve good sales, like Okami. Now put down Grand Theft Auto whatever and give Okami a chance, you won't be sorry.

Good to hear Nintendo got the message. Now, all we need to get LucasArts to make a new "Monkey Island" and comidic games will finally be making a comeback.

Bully gets a T rating. No, seriously

I'm sure Jack Thompson is getting his publicist on the phone right now and is saying, "Get me on Fox News right now so I can talk about how important I am and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." Okay, that was said with a slight margin of error. As for the rating, kudos to the ESRB, at least they gave it the appropriate rating without listening to Wacky Jacky's on sided opininon. Besides, Rockstar has been quite open about the content, and I saw the previews. To be honest, the screenshots I saw and the previews I read, did not at all decribe/look like a "Columbine Simulator". However, I'm sure if he's reading this, he's calling me a, devil worsiping, terrorist. What can I say, he likes to steriotype groups he attacks so he can look good.

G4, Jack Thompson yell at each other

If Jack Thompson's reading this, although I'm sure he's not nor does he care what I have to say, I have something I'd like to ask you. Could you think of something better to do than screw up our country so you can keep your carrer going? Oh, while I'm at it, you claim were all devil worshipers, or something along those lines, right? Well, here's what I think of lawyers, they are low life scum who are willing to do anything for money even if it means screwing up our country. They do this by steriotyping the people who are interested in what they are attacking, getting people who are ignarant to agree with them, and by trying to not let people who actually know about the problem. Heard of something called, the First Amenndment? Well learn it, we're alowed to have a voice over something weather we like it or not. For example, if the parents don't like something, they have every right to not alow it in their house, but they can't tell others how to think.

I have a message for Jack Thompson. This rating decribes the content well and there has always been violence in schools before video games. Now quit being a steriotypical lawyer who screws up our country so he can keep his carrer going on something people who decide on this ignarant, and probably don't play video games. However, I'm sure your not going to read this, nor or you going to listen to what I have to say.
