Harmonix polls fan site about Japanese rock in Rock Band

eternal elysium or church of misery...both rockband and guitar hero are lacking doom and japanese bands, adding those two solves both problems

Activision: Treyarch's next Call of Duty this fall; pair of Modern Warfare 2 map packs this year

Mar 2nd 2010 11:46PM (Joystiq)
Treyarch are shit, they have no knowledge of decent A.I. and should be stopped from developing any more COD games before they ruin the entire series. The grenade spamming in COD: WAW was ridiculous and made it one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I have ever had. I wont buy another of their games. All COD games should be developed by Infinity Ward in future.

PSA: PS3 Firmware Update 3.15 available now

Dec 10th 2009 1:08AM (Joystiq)
this update is completely useless...the PSP minis are mostly lame games that would never survive in the retail market, why even bother? The ability to play "real" PSP games would have been far more impressive and useful and as for the data transfer, this is the biggest load of bullshit since the PS3 was released. Most people who have two working PS3 consoles would naturally want to have all their games (and game saves) on both machines so this data transfer thing is not only pointless but is rather insulting. With a limit on the amount of times you can download games you have paid for, it would have been nice (and decent of Sony) to be able to transfer these files without needing to delete them from any console at all...especially considering the most common reason for needing to do so is because of faulty hardware in the first place.

Activision countersues No Doubt, which is likely not feeling 'Hella Good'

Dec 9th 2009 7:59PM (Joystiq)
consumers should be suing for having a shit band like No Doubt included in the game to begin with

Erik 'Pro Plaintiff' Estavillo assures us he won't sue anyone else, giving half his money 'to God' [update]

I've said before what a retard this guy is, and how he ought to have been smacked up against a brick wall at birth and everytime I read something else about him, I feel more and more that my comments are definitely justifiable...seriously though, until this lazy, money-hungry, attention seeking piece of shit actually has his day in court (wasting everyone's time and money in the process) I wish sites such as joystick would just forget he existed. Tell us when its over.

Insomniac Games took negative Resistance 2 fan feedback to heart

Oct 26th 2009 11:02PM (Joystiq)
I thought the biggest mistake made with Resistance 2 was the removal of offline splitscreen multiplayer. Sure it made finding glitches easier for the losers who are into that, but It was without doubt one of the best features of the original game, and one I used very often. A limit of two players in splitscreen mode is simply not good enough and could have been included in the regular campaign mode. I also enjoyed the campaign of Resistance 1 far more, it had a good level of difficulty on superhuman, at times frustrating but never enough to give up entirely. The campaign for Resistance 2 was far too easy, even on superhuman.
Insomniac had a great game and ruined it...personally, I appreciated the differences between R1 and COD4 and would have much preferred if they had just left the gameplay as it was...instead Insomniac tried to take everything that was great about COD4 and mix it into their game, completely f***ing it up in the process...and all those f***king shields!!! The force barriers are cowardly and are easily the worst idea ever implemented in a shooting game.
