Preview: inFamous 2

@Snaek I too loved gravel-y voiced Cole. It gave him a rough and tumble feel. Also it was just plain cool when he would go "Yeah" during intense fights.

Next Red Faction planned for March 2011, focus on franchise's roots

While paying attention to roots is fine, they had better not screw up the MP. I belong to a group of 12+ people who play RFG biweekly. Yeah, twice a week. Sometimes half the fun is just exploring the incredible multiplayer maps and seeing just where you can go.

ApocalyPS3: 8 out of 11 PS3 'fat' SKUs affected, PS3 shared Zune chip

While the console couldn't make a full connection with the PSN during the non-existant Feb 29th, it could still check for fw updates and download game updates. I know because I played some LBP and it updated just fine even though I couldn't access PSN.

They would have had zero issue rolling out an update.

Final Fantasy XIII director comments on linearity, early reviews

Feb 16th 2010 1:02PM (Joystiq)
I seem to remember previous FFs and other JRPGs having large interesting open worlds to explore. Sure you couldn't get everywhere first, but it was pretty easy to get off the beaten path right after the first dungeon.

ME2 has to be one of the most linear, and shortest RPGs I've played in a long time, added to the fact you can't go back and revisit a lot of places (cept the hub worlds where you can pretty much exhaust all your options) after you beat them makes me wonder if this trend towards linearity is something the whole industry is doing.

This all sounds like damage control especially given how much the price has dropped in Japan. Blaming the complaints on a "Western" perspective is pretty shrewd, and kinda low. I doubt 2ch where the complaints first came out of is a hotbed of "Western" perspective.

He'd have to have a special "Goddamn" taunt all his own.

Develop: Devs divided on Natal potential

Jan 14th 2010 9:58PM (Joystiq)
What I bet we'll be hearing from gamers: "Its fine and cool, but I'm tired of full body waggle. Having to thrust my elbow to reload starts to hurt after the 20th time, and with a game like POPULAR SHOOTER 7 where you reload every other 30 seconds, I eventually turn off the Natal and go back to pwning n00bs with my controller."

I'd call mine Haruna.
