Apple had bag checks while I was there, but I wouldn't exactly say someone would have difficulty avoiding them. It would be a bit dependent on who was working and/or what time you left the store.

My current job has them too and it's pretty common that security doesn't actually look in the bag when it's opened for them.

Same problem here and for the same reasons. I recently just sucked it up and let iTunes auto-convert everything. I don't like it, but I'll live.

I am interested in iTunes Match though.

I'm a bit surprised there isn't a Terminal hack or something to make it convert higher than 128.
