Sounds to me like this Randy Pitchford person has eaten one too many sour grapes.

I've never thought about it that way before (Steam being a distribution service owned by the competitor of many game developers), but honestly, I don't think it's that big a deal. I, for one, am happy for Valve. Think of it this way: Would you rather have a Steam run by a fantastic, hard-working company like Valve, or would you rather have Steam run by a money-grubbing whoreson like, for instance, Microsoft?

I can't tell whether you are being sarcastic or serious. No, the ":P" doesn't help.
