Digg consensus says WoW won't help you score a lover
Mar 15th 2007 12:49PM (Joystiq)And technically, you can already have a significant other and have the relationship still work out. Fortunately for my boyfriend, I enjoy playing games and have been a gamer since the NES days. We play a lot and both enjoy it. If both people are into it (or the other is understanding) it doesn't have to destroy the relationship.
Playing Dirty: We fit together!

Not all females think that way, just seem Bonnie does. Never as I as a female gamer ever thought of Tetris relating to sex at any time while playing it. Perhaps some other females do, but none that I ever have met.
Eleven year olds sing badly about video games
Mar 15th 2007 12:33PM (Joystiq)I read the press release before this and chuckled, then was just floored when I watched the video.
Jody, I think the reason I just have to shake my head at these kids, is while they want to make it big, they have to get better first. They need a voice coach or something. Try getting on key and stuff and then maybe they can get big with the teeny bopper crowd.
I think I just had a days worth of laughter in one sitting. Thanks Joystiq!
GameJew stalks Miyamoto, sings him a song
Mar 12th 2007 2:34PM (Joystiq)The non gamers are the people you want to reach out to. That and those who have quit on gaming. You want to reach back out to them because you want to expand the market. What better way to expand the market? I think the "Wife-O-Meter" was a fun little thing to add into it. Having watched the keynote video, it's good to see he has a sense of humor and lets it come out. If you don't want to take it seriously, fine.
I think some people on here just like to argue for the simple fact they can.

Mar 12th 2007 11:44AM (Joystiq)Weekly Webcomic Wrapup: now in Cockney!
Mar 11th 2007 1:43PM (Joystiq)Auker, actually, being a WoW player, I found it to be the best this week. I understand the joy of getting a mount on a character. I just recently got my Draenei Paladin he could buy his warhorse. (And I bought him an Elekk for extra measure, since Draenei look like adults riding a kids toy on the warhorse.) I voted Tip of the Sword for this week. :)
Penny Arcade was just... I dunno. The punchline as someone else said this week was just, very weak.
Wii is two duct taped Gamecubes and other publisher rants
Mar 8th 2007 12:47PM (Joystiq)@Jack of No Trades
I never said that, but thanks for throwing words into my mouth.
Graphics can vary from person to person. What I think looks good you may think looks like crap, and that's fine. To each his own. But at the end of the day I'll play something that is fun, be it easy or hard. Isn't that the way it should be? Playing something that YOU enjoy?
Wii is two duct taped Gamecubes and other publisher rants
Mar 8th 2007 12:44PM (Joystiq)As for games on the Wii, I don't know, I don't find it lacking at the moment. I'll be honest and say I don't want all mini games coming to the system, but only time will tell as to how many of those kind of games will come out. I still have quite a few games to complete and some I'm enjoying/still enjoying after all this time.
I don't care if he likes the Wii or not. But I know as time goes on people are more about "power" and "visuals" than about having fun. While they're doing that I'll be buying games that provide me good entertainment and allow me to wind down after a day at class.

Joyswag: Free 1-year subscription to Games for Windows magazine
Feb 27th 2007 12:16PM (Joystiq)Anyways, thank you Joystiq! It'll give me something else to read monthly outside of my Nintendo Power. Even that doesn't give me enough of a read for a month anymore. ><
Canadians always get the shaft when it comes to stuff like this, don't they?
