@BillyBongThornton Incumbents get a primary challenge sometimes, but not this time because there wasn't the support for it.
As for "it has nothing to do with money" ... what a crock. Did you not see what happened in the Florida primary? The crazy amount of money flowing through the superPACs allowed him to run an unprecedented number of negative ads against Gingrich. Romney has been putting out ads for MONTHS in Florida. He's also way better organized on the ground. Tell me that doesn't cost money.
@25yeargamingveteran Nope. What a queer argument. If you argue for the first thing, why does it mean you have to argue for the other? You make no logical sense whatsoever. With Skyrim being a fictitious universe, they can by definition make it whatever they want. Clearly there IS some overlap with the real world. That's cool. People who think like you are a dying breed. In 30 years, we'll see how much of a failure same sex marriage will be.
@Tachyonic Cargo If onLive continues to do this, what they should really do is set up a system to synchronize saved games with their version on the cloud. The local system can keep a synced copy, and that copy can sync with the Steam cloud. It would truly be useful if they implemented this.
@aea0a095 No, no monthly fee. You can get a free account and just buy games. There is an option to get a play pass which is a monthly fee that allows you to play a selection of games as long as you subscribe.
@DarrylKensley This kind of article always brings out the 'xenophobic' accusations. Look at what you just posted, and then look at yourself in the mirror. You are not some electronics company, and that electronics company is not you. If it makes you feel any better, MS more than made up for it selling Windows licenses to Japanese. Also, Japan's economy is way more stagnant than the US's. Should they all get together and stop buying iPhones?
@kcswanko The whole world does NOT mainly buy xbox. You could say that of the Wii probably. PS3 and xbox 360 are almost even in terms of worldwide sales, with the small difference likely due to the xbox being first to market by a year. The PS3 could catch up to and surpass xbox sales by next year.
@JohnnyVonRotten Not true. Samsung does very well, US-made movies are popular, MS Windows, PCs (most made in Taiwan) are everywhere, Apple also does well, etc. Need I go on? Xbox has an image problem in Japan, which is largely a content and marketing issue. They are PERCEIVED to lack the types of games that tend to be popular in Japan. This is not really true because it has a large and varied library, but the flagship first-party games underscore this message.
@Fermie Prime Not sure where you get that multiculturalism "tolerates the unsavory activities and practices of different cultures." It's simply an acceptance and acknowledgement of multiple cultures. Seeing that there may be things of value in different cultures does not mean anyone is trying to rank cultures on some morality scale. That's just absurd. Your extreme example of someone arguing the moral equivalency of nazis and allied forces is also absurd. No one is doing this, certainly not multicultural advocates. Multiculturalism is NOT moral relativism. Just because you say so doesn't mean it's true. Perhaps you've been unduly influenced by the people trying to make multiculturalism a dirty word. An example: amongst people who are promoters of South Asian, Indian cultures, can you find lots of advocates of the historically rigid and unjust caste system? I bet not. In fact, multicultural advocates are often trying to IMPROVE situations like this through social change.
The problem is people seeing multiculturalism as a zero-sum game, that by lifting some cultures up, you put down and denigrate others.
Unbelievable! This is either the worst kind of trolling or something more disturbing. I'm leaning towards the latter. First rule for identifying racists: they start a comment with some variation on, "I'm not a racist, but..." Second rule: they also say, "I have many ____ friends, so I can't be racist."
On top of that, you say your actual name is "Aryan." (!) Sorry if I'm skeptical. Maybe you changed it to such because of your convictions, who knows. "I don't mean to make fun of your name, but..."
And then you go on to spout all the old, debunked arguments that holocaust deniers have been spewing for decades like you're some iconoclast that "questions" history.
Ok so I'm guilty of some ad hominem attacks, but it's become clear to me that it's pointless to argue facts with the delusional.
Which game development studio head was the top Colbert Super PAC supporter?
