Yeah I agree NOLF2 wasn't quite as solid overall as the first one, it was a shorter game and the plot wasn't as interesting. It did have some great sequences like the tornado or the on-rails tricycle shooter sequence. I would just love to see Monolith take another shot at the franchise, though I fear it is not commercially viable (pun retroactively intended).
Oh you had to remind me about No One Lives Forever, man FEAR is so bland compared to NOLF. Dam you sales numbers, I want my NOLF3! I haven't actually seen NOLF2 sales numbers, but I assume that is why we haven't seen a sequel.
I think it is good that Remedy is focusing on one platform, it takes them long enough to develop their games without dealing with multi-platform development. On the other hand that quote doesn't look like it is excluding future PC ports, nobody takes the PC into account when talking about Platform Exclusivity. Not to mention Microsoft published console games making their way to PC through a different publisher has happened enough times now that I would say it is unlikely Alan Wake will never come to PC, the question is when and by that time will anybody care?
I'm pretty sure Nomura is working on Final Fantasy Versus XIII, not Agito which is the Cell Phone card-based game turned PSP game. Versus XIII is the Action RPG which kind of looks like Kingdom Hearts.
Alright, guaranteed we are getting the sequel localized then, hopefully much faster then before. This pretty much also guarantees we are getting the prequel trilogy too.
