Jan 24th 2012 6:58PM (Joystiq)Being that the 360 was able to last this long with it's current GPU & still managed to put out great looking games even now, I don't think that'll be problem.

Jan 14th 2012 1:05PM (Joystiq)Vita sales drop below 3DS, PSP in Japan
Dec 28th 2011 12:55PM (Joystiq)I think you're right to an extent. Portable gaming is meant as a time killer. Something you do in the morning on your way to work or school. more & more developers are making high quality games for these handheld systems which is killing the whole notion of portable gaming. Now with the Vita coming out, they're trying to make titles of HD console quality which is really not a smart move. The simple question is bound to pop up when making a purchase: "Why would I buy this game for the Vita, when I can just get it for the PS3?" Sony is under the impression that quantity is better than quality, which is a big no no. Unless Sony and their first party developers realize that handheld gaming needs a gimmick to keep players coming back, the Vita version of their games will get shafted for the PS3 version 9 times out of 10

Dec 28th 2011 12:43PM (Joystiq)Kojima the producer open to MGS remake, Kojima the creator not so much
Dec 27th 2011 2:28PM (Joystiq)But that's what Kojima was talking about. If you remake the game, you'd have to change the gameplay as well. MGS1 worked so well because we didn't have any expectations of what could be done by Solid Snake. With MGS 2, 3, & 4 already down the pipe, going back & remaking the game just with better graphics would be kind of stupid. They would have to change the way Snake did everything, as they did in Twin Snakes. & for the reason you stated above, it could also ruin the experience you had in the original game. Like Kojima said, if they did a remake, the only thing that can stay the same, is the story. EVERYTHING else would have to be re-built from the ground up in order to meet today's standards which is something Kojima doesn't necessarily want to do.
